King County DemocratsJuly 23 Governor Gregoire and Puget SoundThis week, Governor Chris Gregoire is taking a tour like one
you probably haven't seen before. Instead of riding in a
biodiesel bus or a train, the governor is taking a boat tour
of Puget Sound.
Governor Gregoire has been a champion for the clean-up of Puget Sound. To continue to raise the profile of one of
the most important environmental issues in the state,
the governor will be traveling to communities throughout
the Sound to highlight what she is doing and
what we all can do to save it. We want YOU to meet her at the "Ports of Call" along the way!

Help sustain a great, grassroots organization, the King County Democratic Central Committee, that offers many services to the Democratic community. Our website is used by Democrats across the county for precinct boundary information, checking events on our calendar, blogging activity, newsletters, and much more. These activities require money, time, and resources and we would appreciate your help.
Please consider making a donation and becoming a member of a great organization. A monthly donation program is available for those who wish to provide a steady flow of support throughout the year for as little as $10/month. Secure donations can be made online at our website, homepage - gold-colored Contribute button on the top right, or by mailing a contribution to the address listed at the bottom of the note. All members and sponsors will be listed in the monthly newsletter and be invited to special events and receptions.
Keeping the grassroots motivated and involved is an enormous venture. We ask you to become a member of KCDCC today! Our meetings are free and open to all Democrats; monthly meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Renton Carpenters Hall, 231 Burnett Avenue North in Renton, 7:00 pm.
Thank you for your past and current support as it helps in getting the Democratic message out into the community. If you have any questions, please call or write us.

December 23 New King County Dems Community CalendarFellow King County Democratic activists,
I’m writing to let you know about major improvements in our web-based “Community Calendar” (http://www.kcdems.net/calendar.) The presentation and business logic layers have been completely re-written. What this means is that you can now submit events using a web form. If you are an “admin” these events will immediately be published. If you are not an admin, rather than (the old system of) waiting for a single calendar editor to post your event, any of our web site admins (me, Suzie, Chad, and Tina) can approve the event.
We also have a new “Manage” view (http://www.kcdems.net/calendar/manage.aspx) that allows visitors to see different views of calendar events.
Please take a look and reply to me or leave a comment on the blog if you have any questions or suggestions. Thanks—
